Julius Angwah holds a PhD in Sociolinguistics from the University of Yaounde I, Cameroon. He is particularly interested in Ecolinguistics, Sociolinguistics, Corpus Linguistics, Pragmatics and the New Englishes. He is aslo interested in Creative Writing and is the author of the historical novel, Before Our Eyes (2018).
He is a part-time lecturer of English language in ISTIC, Yaounde, ENS Yaounde and the Cameroon-Congo Inter-State University, Sangmelima. His publications include insights on the ecosophical affability of Cameroonian proverbs (published with the journal of Language and the Ecology), media discourses and communal stances on climate change in Cameroon, corpus linguistic appraisal of doubts and certitudes in newspaper writing, perceptions and phonological realisations as well as attitudes towards mainstream Cameroon English as model of English language teaching and learning in the country.
